An international shipyard group comprising three yards in Batam is looking to recruit qualified people for the following positions :

Finance Manager

Preferred Competencies:

Qualified accountant with minimum 5 year experience in similar management position, Big 4 training preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Accounting Standards and Indonesia Tax.
Prior experience in tax strategy implementation, planning support and project management will be advantageous.
Experience in SAP preferred, but not a requirement. Knowledge of project accounting principles will be preferred.

Responsible:

Prepare and publish financial and management reports in compliance with Group accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of Batam entities’ statutory and management reporting.
Liaise with Auditor for audit-related issues.
Manage and comply with Indonesia local reporting requirements and tax filings.
Establish appropriate system or processes for tax risk management for Batam entities.
Act as the key point of contact and support for Indonesia local and regional taxation matters.
Responsible to legally minimise tax liabilities through informed application of tax laws and regulations.
Manage external tax authorities and consultants locally and regionally.
Complete and/or contribute in various ongoing other ad-hoc projects.
Support Singapore Finance GM in monitoring, maintaining and improving the reporting structure (templates), including resolving issues.
